Matt and Mason Hughes came to that belief from two different sides: decades spent improving complex enterprise operations and, on the other hand, focused time in the entrepreneurial world, building ventures and artificial intelligence systems from the ground up.

Together, they created MAIDEN, a consulting and automation firm built on a patent-pending artificial intelligence management system aligned with ISO 42001, the international standard for responsible AI use. Their goal is to make enterprise-level execution practical for growing businesses looking to leverage governed technology. He holds an Executive MBA from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management. At MAIDEN, Matt leverages his extensive industry knowledge to thoroughly understand each client's unique operational landscape and pinpoint foundational inefficiencies. He provides clear, strategic direction with actionable planning that bridge the gap between current challenges and optimal performance. Mason has drawn from coursework across Saint John's University, the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, and the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, combining business accounting, artificial intelligence, and entrepreneurship into a foundation unique to the consulting scene. At Eau Claire, he became a pioneer driving AI into the classroom, co-developing a feature for his Information Systems AI teaching assistant and presenting the work at the Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce. He then took that same knowledge and scaled his own business operations (three parallel teams, over 140 completed projects in four months) before bringing his systems thinking to MAIDEN.
