Our AI Workforce Worked Through Labor Day

By Mason Hughes

A working holiday, with clear responsibilities

Most businesses went quiet for Labor Day. Out of office replies, skeleton crews, the whole building dark by Friday afternoon. Ours didn't.

While the team was off, our AI workforce kept running: pulling research, drafting follow-ups, checking on open threads, staying inside the exact scope we gave each one. Nobody sat at a desk supervising it. Nobody paid for a second seat, a second subscription, or a second tool just to get that coverage.

This is the opportunity we want our clients to discover. AI enablement using employees means less subscriptions and a team that pushes through when you are enjoying a well deserved holiday.

We run one context plane with 50 agents at any given time, drawing from that same control plane instead of its own account or separate subscription. Each one gets its own responsibilities like you expect of an employee: what it's allowed to access, what it's allowed to decide, what it has to collaborate on, yet retains the core operational context to personalize its outputs. That scope is what makes the difference between an assistant you can trust overnight and one you'd never leave unattended.

Because every agent runs inside a defined scope, every action it takes is logged against that intent. We can see exactly what ran, when, and why, the same way you'd have an employee status meeting. That's not a nice-to-have bolted on afterward feature. It's built to hold up against the same governance standard, ISO 42001, that enterprise AI programs are held to. We made it accessible now for a business that doesn't have the resources for their own compliance team.

And if, a new model, a new provider, or technology enters the market. The context plane stays. Your business logic, your scopes, your history of what ran and why, all of it carries over. You're not renting a relationship with one vendor's assistant. You own the layer that actually runs your business, and the engine underneath it is replaceable by design.

So while everyone else was enjoying the long weekend (as they should), our AI workers were still on the clock, confined to their scopes, doing exactly what they were built to do. That's the version of an AI workforce worth having: one that works while you rest, and one you can hold accountable when you're back in the office.
